Majolica Cauliflower Sugar Bowl by G,S,&H

This is a wonderful Majolica Pottery Covered Sugar Bowl by Griffen, Smith & Hill. Cauliflower design, c. 1880. It stands at 5 inches tall and opening is 3 inches in diameter.
There is a small chip on lid, one on the base, and crazing above the shoulder.
Griffen, Smith & Hill helped popularize majolica pottery in America. Because of its fragility, it is rare to find undamaged examples of Griffen, Smith, and Hill's marine majolica, making it even more desirable. It is marked GSH on bottom.
