Pedro Lazaro has been living in Miami, Florida, after having traveled through Europe and United States. His work has evolved into a contemporary expressionism, covering from the figurative to abstract themes and his presence has been distinguished in both the national and international artistic scenario.

His work includes painting, drawings, sculptures in stone, wood, marble and clay besides illustrations for books, magazines and newspapers.

Lazaro's creative journey started at a very young age, when he first discovered his love for drawing. In his adolescence, Lazaro expanded his conquest into landscapes, the human figure, and oil painting. After transformed by the exploration of the pictorial images of Bahia's beaches, and people, for a few years, Lazaro returned to Rio de Janeiro city with a freer, more expressive art which in turn took him to abstractionism.

About ten years ago, Lazaro established himself in Miami, Florida, after traveled through Europe and the United States. His art has now a contemporary expressionistic character, whit a thematic scope covering from the figurative to the abstract that has placed him a distinguished position within the North America artistic scenario.

In 2001 Pedro Lazaro received the Fifth Annual Brazilian International Press Award as an acknowledgement of his contribution to the positive image of Brazil and Brazilians in the United States.
