Invicta was originally founded in 1837 by Raphael Picard in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
The name "Invicta" is Latin for invincible. For over a century, the brand operated as a traditional, family-owned Swiss watchmaker producing high-quality mechanical timepieces.
However, during the "Quartz Crisis" of the 1970s and 1980s—when cheap, battery-powered Japanese watches flooded the market—the company nearly went bankrupt and faded from prominence. The brand was later bought by an American investment group in 1991, which relocated the headquarters to Hollywood, Florida, and re-launched Invicta under the oversized, budget-luxury marketing model it is famous for today.
Invicta is one of the top-selling watch brands in America,Latin and Central America,The United Kingdom & Europe.
Invicta Watch Official Catalog categorizes its massive global lineup into more than 40 distinct flagship model collections.Invicta watches have two entirely different price tags: the artificial sticker price (MSRP) and the actual retail street price. Invicta has produced over 40 core style collections comprising tens of thousands of individual model variations (types)Invicta is famous for using heavily inflated Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) ranging from $300 to over $3,000.
